LETTERS

*****************************************************************************

Reminder: Please send your letters using upper AND lower case, and remember to include your first and last name.  Also please SPELL CHECK before sending.

(FRIDAY)

Congratulations to Eric Spillman.  He is a fine reporter.  I just wish KTLA could find someone to replace Silly Sam (Rubin).  He gets way too much air time.  I find other things to do when he is on.  Am I the only one who finds him irritating?

Ron,

I think Denise Dador is a phoney.  Anybody can read news stories in front of
a camera and that's pretty much what she does.  So, health specialist?  No,
I don't think so.  That said, I don't believe the fact that she
mispronounced a word provides any evidence pertinent to her qualifications.

Best Regards,
Ed Hain

Hi, Ron,

Should Nancy Grace be made to feel guilty over her tough interviewing of Melinda Duckett, the woman Grace appears to believe is guilty of killing her own child.?  Perhaps not, 'though I think she should.  Nancy Grace should be made to feel guilty just for being there night after night...wasting so much of CNN's Headline News time with her snide, smug, judgmental style.  CNN could stand a little more news and a little less sneer.

Much more important than that, you're in my prayers this night of your Wednesday scan, and will continue to be 'til you are completely well.

(Thanks Ed!-Ron)

(WEDNESDAY)

Hi Ron --

Glad to see Eric Spillman join the ranks of those honored by OTR readers.
Being a big fan of Patrick Healy, it was a tough call, but Eric deserves
the accolades.  Aside from his ability to do both solid field reporting as
well as offering a hilariously goofy side on the KTLA Morning Show, Eric
is one of the "good guys" in the business.  To take your work seriously
while not taking yourself overly seriously is a lot more difficult than it
appears.  I had the opportunity to meet him once, he could not have been
nicer.  Others who've met him have shared similar experiences with him.

As always, on behalf of your faithful readers, all of our prayers and good
wishes continue with you Mr. Fineman, as you await the results of the
latest battery of tests.  I appreciate the way you share about both the
ups and downs that you've experienced, your story has been an
encouragement to me.  Again, my best to you, Christy, and the rest of your
clan.

Sincerely,

Alan Oda

Ron,

Didn't know if you had noticed or not, but with the new CW re-branding
of KTLA, they managed to work "5" back into their logo.  Small addition,
but I think it's nice to see them acknowledging their channel number
again, rather than pretending one doesn't even exist.
