Ron and Christy's Wedding Reception

We had two "first dances." The first was to "True Love Ways" by Buddy Holly. The second one was "Jump, Jive and Wail" by the Brian Setzer Orchestra. We really enjoyed going from the slow romantic to the swing.

That's my son James with us.

Chris Kazarian and Karen Greenberg. Chris, a very old friend and Karen, my first girlfriend, haven't seen each other in 30 years. There's another old pal, Bob Becker with me. And then Chris and Bob together.

Christy's sister Bethany and her brother Erik. And that's my brother Ken and his wife Doreen. They've been dancing together for more than 35 years. And on the end is Christy's father Chuck and his wife Vicki.

There is Christy's oldest friend Julann McAnlis and her husband Dave. She and Julann go back to the first grade, at which time I'd been out of UCLA for a year. That's sister Bethany with her husband Paul Westfall in the middle.

On the left is Rosalie Fox and her husband Dan Huntington. Rosalie and I met while working together at news/talk KNTB-Bakersfield in 1981. Among those we worked with were Jim Huntington, Dan's brother. Rosalie and Dan didn't meet until years later. Next to me on the left photo is Gene Tackett and his wife Wendy Wayne.  They are both old friends from Bakersfield. Gene was once upon a time a politician, serving a couple of terms on the Kern County Board of Supervisors.  On the right photo, that's Lisa Henry next to me. She was the roommate of my girlfriend at UCLA back in 1974, and we've stayed friends ever since.

That's some of the Wilshire Crest crowd. David Farber (with his girlfriend Sandy), Ron Ito (with his wife Gail) and Debby Cohen (with her boyfriend Robert). All went to Wilshire Crest Elementary School in Los Angeles with me.

There is my old  Bakersfield friend Jenelle Wilcox and her husband Gary. In the middle are Gene and Wendy dancing..To the right is Christy's jazzercise friend Chris Resignio with Bethany and Paul's baby, Andrew. And on the end, a picture with my son James.

Lisa and I got in a dance, after she pulled me out there. I'm glad she did. In the middle, you see some of Christy's jazzercize friends doing one of their jazzercise routines to Mambo #5. On the end is one of KNX's best editors, Kathy Kiernan, with her husband Michael Hamilton.

Going left to right... KNX reporter Diane Thompson, (former KMET Program Director) Sam Bellamy, Don Barrett,  Diane's husband Chris Taylor, KNX sports anchor Steve Grad and Susan Heyman.

Tom and Joan Huele, Dave and Carolyn Zorn, and the exchange of cake which we did gently. None of     that in  your face stuff for us.  And yes,  that is chocolate wedding cake.  What else?

Karen Greenberg and her hubby David....and my brother Ken with his wife Doreen.

Christy with jazzercise friends Kathy Johnson and Lynda Landry-Bodo....and my old friend Lisa with her husband Wayne, who just got married last August.

People having fun on the dance floor, including Chuck and Vicki Knorr. Two of my best friends, Bob Becker and Chris Kazarian having a chat.

Christy's father Chuck speaking to the crowd, followed by my brother Ken doing the same. And finally, my love Christy and I on the dance floor. It really was a wonderful night.
